Jerry Johnson: Team Bodog WSOP Qualifier
This year Bodog is sending 700 of its online players to the biggest poker tournament in the world. With total cash prizes exceeding $70 million and first place to walk away with $10 million, this year's World Series of Poker will be the biggest ever.
Jerry Johnson earned his $10,000 WSOP main event entry fee and $2,500 in spending cash through one of hundreds of Bodog's online poker tournaments.
Jerry is 38 years old and married with two kids, Taylor and Jaden. He has apparently been playing poker since he was 11 (with money he won at marbles and pogs presumably) and has been with Bodog for two years now. Jerry is a WSOP alumni as he won a seat there through Bodog last year, making him now a two-time member of Team Bodog.
Jerry once played for 48 hours straight in a poker tournament and lost his job for it. That is the truly the sign of a hardcore poker player; I pass out if I'm awake more than five hours in a row, poker or no poker. Jerry's looking to show his former bosses what he can do and even that score this year in Las Vegas.
Starting May 6, Bodog Poker will be offering 40 WSOP seats on the weekends. There will be 30 online Qualifier Tournaments on Saturdays and 10 on Sundays with a total of 400 seats given out for the Main Event and 300 for preliminary WSOP events. Check out Bodog's poker tournament schedule for the tournament that's right for you.
