After another long EPT final table battle, German poker amateur Michael Schulze came away from Warsaw and the EPT Polish Open with $946,269 in prize money (written on an obnoxiously large check) and a $16,000 seat in the EPT Grand Final next month in Monte Carlo.

There were several records set at this event, two of them belonging to a single player and another to the field as a whole. Final table player and Norwegian Trond Erik Eidsvig became the first player to cash four times in a single EPT season and the first to reach three final tables in a single EPT season. The $88,356 received for his eighth-place finish pushes him just over $625,000 in winnings from this one EPT season alone.

The other milestone achieved was the prize pool of just over $3.1 million, the largest in Polish poker history with the first-place prize the largest single purse awarded. The tournament drew 80 more players than last year's, even with a higher buy-in.

Here are the full final table payouts:

1. Michael Schulze - $946,269
2. Ricardo Sousa - $536,276
3. Mathias Viberg - $315,375
4. Mehdi Ouakir - $236,586
5. Christian í–man - $192,423
6. Juan Maceiras - $151,467
7. Niclas Svensson - $119,911
8. Trond Erik Eidsvig - $88,356
9. Daniel Woolson - $53,657

The Tour now heads south to San Remo, Italy, for the EPT San Remo, the last regular tour stop before the EPT Grand Final in Monte Carlo. There will be one more EPT champion crowned this season and they will get to face the best poker players in the world in Monaco.

We know that several Team Bodog players will be there, including Bodog poker pro Josh Arieh. There are still plenty of opportunities to qualify online for an EPT event in the Bodog Poker room, so head over and check to see when your next chance is to win a $12,000 Bodog "Player's Choice" prize package.
