On the Bubble at the WSOP

Here in Day 2 of the WSOP $5,000 NL Holdem Six-Handed event is seeing some tight play as it is currently on the bubble with 79 players left out of the original 805.

Leading the pack is French online poker pro Bertrand Grospellier (Elky) with 260,000.

Also among the leaders of the field is JJ Liu with 148,000 and Shannon Shorr with 134,000.

Meanwhile, the giants of poker continue to slug it out in the $50,000 HORSE Championship. The true test of WSOP skill, versatility and bankroll.

Currently, Lyle Berman still leads the pack with 507,000, Patrick Bueno is second with 485,500 and Barry Greenstein is third with 473,000.

Among the top 10 is still Bodog’s own Justin Bonomo in eighth place with 384,000. He’s right behind Erick Lindgren who has 387,500 and in front of Daniel Negreanu who has 374,500, Doyle Brunson with 366,000 and Andy Bloch with 362,500.

Huck Seed recently eliminated Jeffrey Lisandro during a hand of Omaha. With a flop of 5s-3d-2s Seed checked and Lisandro bet out with the remainder of his chips. Seed called and showed Ah-Kh-6h-4s for a straight. Lisandro showed Ad-Jd-6s-5c with very few outs. The turn was the 10h and the river the 10c sending Lisandro to the rails. Seed is now in 14th place with 328,000.
