Well, with a $500,000 buy-in for the new episodes of "High Stakes Poker" on GSN, this was bound to happen sooner or later.

Two of the largest pots ever seen on the show were played last night almost back to back. The first involved a clash between poker legend Doyle Brunson and "Cirque du Soleil" founder Guy Laliberte and reached an astounding $818,100.

It started when Brunson raised to $11,200 with Ad-Td and was called by four players, including Laliberte who was holding Ah-5h. When the flop came Ac-Js-4d, Brunson bet $40,000 and got rid of everyone except Laliberte, who called. The turn came with the 2d and Brunson bet out $110,000, only to be raised to $310,000 by the circus czar.

As this pretty much put Bruson all-in to call, he just went ahead and pushed all his chips in the middle and Laiberte called. The players decided to run the river twice, but neither card helped Laliberte and Brunson took home the biggest pot in High Stakes Poker history - $818,100.

Just a few hands later, Finnish poker pro Patrik Antonius moved all-in with his flopped top pair of nines and was called by Sammy Farha and his king-high flush draw and two overcards, making the pot an unbelievable $998,000. The two agreed to play out the river four times and Antonius won three, meaning that he walked away with about $750,000 from just one hand of poker... not a bad day's work.
