The debate on who is the best tournament poker player has heated up recently. The all-time money winners are a very closely ranked group of late, and any of the top nine in the world could take over the lead in the race with a big tournament win. The top two players right now are Phil Ivey and Daniel Negreanu, who both have over $12.3 million in tournament earnings. Right behind them are the likes of Phil Hellmuth and Scotty Nguyen.

Some of the top nine are one-hit wonders who won the WSOP Main Event and haven't been much of a force since. The rest of the players in the top spots on the list are the cream of the tournament poker crop, and they consistently get themselves into positions to take down big prize pools.
