Scott Montgomery and The Phils Trading Lead at LA Poker Classic

You'd think that Scott Montgomery would be a little happier to be in the top three during Day 5 of the WPT LA Poker Classic. (Bodog Beat Image)
After Blair Hinkle took a hit trying to bluff off both Phil Hellmuth and Phil Ivey (let's play the fun, family game "Good Idea, Bad Idea"), Scott Montgomery has moved up into the top three with the Phils, much to Hellmuth's chagrin since he's been ribbing the guy most of the afternoon. Michael Watson has moved up into fourth place with all other players below average, according to WorldPokerTour.com.
We're now down to 11 players after the bustification of Mike Carson and Jennifer Tilly, who received an ovation upon her exit. Unfortunately for her, she was moved over with the top three players and Hinkle to balance out the tables and did not have enough chips to survive against their onslaught.
All players remaining, including Ms. Tilly, will get at least $61,610 with the next jump coming once we consolidate to a single table. Lord knows when that will happen as the action has slowed considerably.
We'll have more live updates from the 2008 WPT LA Poker Classic as the afternoon progresses so pay us a visit a little later on.
