Team Bodog at the WSOP Main Event: Overview

All good things must come to an end and in the middle of Day Six of the WSOP Main Event, Team Bodog's final member busted out. Greg Schaefer (gman07140) was holding A-10 and went all-in pre-flop against Gabe Costner. While Greg's hand was strong, Costner's was stronger: A-K. The board played out 7J449, giving Costner a pair of fours and King high and all of Schaefer's chips to go with it. While it's sad to see our last Team Bodog member walk away from the World Series of Poker, the payout for Greg was very nice: a tournament entry on our site got him $48,000 in Vegas.

Greg joins Evelyn Ng (Evelyn Ng), Eric Liu (draizen), Dennis Scott (dgs), Greg Lorensen (VikesWin2), Justin C (Lesly_Roag) and Thomas Konopasek (HandySnacks) as Team Bodog players who ended up in the money at this year's event. Dennis, of course, was the player who entered into a $1 WSOP Main Event prize package satellite on Bodog and found himself earning $27,000 in Vegas — look for an interview with him in the next few days!

While Team Bodog is no longer in the running at the WSOP Main Event, we'll be keeping track of the happenings in Vegas with our daily rundowns. You can always start building your skills to compete in next year's event when you play online poker at Bodog!
