Team Bodog at WSOP Main Event Day 1

There are currently eight poker players who qualified for the WSOP through Bodog remaining in the field here approximately halfway through Day 1 of the WSOP Main Event.

Svetlana Gromenkova (pictured above) is currently out in front with around 63K in chips. Considering the starting stack is only 20K things are definitely looking up for her. She has already knocked out poker pro John Gale and taken several large pots to help earn her lead.

You might remember Svetlana's name as she won her first WSOP bracelet and the $224,702 that went with it earlier this year in the WSOP Ladeis event.

Here's a breakdown of the rest Team Bodog up to this point in Day 1 of the 2008 WSOP Main Event.

Tay Nguyen is currently second in the pack with 31K in chips.

Up next is Adam Mills. Mills is sitting with around $25K.

Then we have Jean-Michele Pellande. Pellande has the good fortune or bad luck, depending on how you look at it, of being at the WSOP TV table along with Scotty Nguyen.

Up next is Pete Malkoun. Malkoun has a taken a couple small hits and is currently at around 16K.

Then we have Joshua Goldstein. Goldstein has about 15K.

Walter Browne is grinding it out with 14K.

And finally we have Paul Sahl who is missing in action. We hope this just means he was moved but fear that he may have been eliminated from the WSOP Main Event.
