It would seem that running hot in poker can last for a couple of months and move with you from city to city as well as from event to event. Take Steve Begleiter and Kevin Schaffel for example. These relatively unknown poker players are not only two of the 24 players left after Day 3 of the WPT Legends of Poker event at the Bicycle Casino in Los Angeles, they are also two of the November Nine final table of the 2009 WSOP Main Event.

So, they have run hot from July to August and from Vegas to LA then from the WSOP to the WPT. Not bad. On top of that, they have already been made millionaires by benefit of receiving at least ninth place money from the 2009 WSOP Main Event and are now in the running to become the next WPT-Made Millionaire if they can take down this event.

On the path to accomplishing that though, they will need to wade through a field that also still includes online poker phenom James "mig.com" Mackey, Russian poker player Eugene Katchalov, Toto Leonidas and one of the original young Internet guns Prahlad "spiritrock" Friedman. If that weren't enough, chip leader Todd Terry has built up a respectable chip lead and will be looking to maintain that and ride it to victory.

Players will return at 3pm PT to play down to the six who will make up the WPT televised final table on Wednesday. Stay tuned here for more details on this event and if you want to head to a WPT yourself, then you can qualify online for the WPT through the Bodog Flight Club promotion.
