Tom \"durrrr\" Dwan Chipleader For WPT World Poker Finals Final Table

While we're not gonna see the new school online poker machine that is Tom "durrrr" Dwan take on the old school Middle Earth resident Freddy Deeb in a battle royale, the final table of the 2007 WPT World Poker Finals is not lacking in talent and interesting storylines.
Instead, "durrrr" will be hoping to fend off two defending champions of this event: Nenad Medic won last year and Nick Schulman won in 2005. Of the two, and barring a miraculous run of cards, Schulman will be the only real concern for Dwan as Medic is currently the short stack with an almost 9 to 1 chip deficiency. Schulman on the other hand is breathing down his neck in second place just about 500k in chips behind.
Behind those two in third place is Mike Vela, whose biggest tournament cash to date was 18th place at the 2007 WPT Borgata Open just a couple of months ago. Another player who cashed at the event at the Borgata, Mark Weitzman, is the other short stack, but with ten WSOP cashes dating back 1992, he has big tourney experience that could help him out at this final table. Sitting smack in the middle of the chip counts is Mike White, who may or may not have cashed in a WSOP event and a WPT event. Unfortunately, with a name as common as that, there is no telling if teh Internets are giving us info on the right "Mike White".
Whoever he is, he will be returning to Foxwoods Resort & Casino with his five final table compatriots at 4pm ET today to play for the $1.7 million first-place prize.
If you want a chance to become the next WPT millionaire yourself, then head over to Bodog and play for the chance to win a Bodog "Player's Choice" package.
