World Poker Tour London Classic: Day 4 Is Underway

The London Classic continues today and everyone who's out is in the money! (Photo by Christophe Libert)"]

Last night, the bubble burst with a bad, bad beat being delivered to Victor Ilyukhin, who was sporting a "Jesus Died For Our Sins" shirt. He threw 30k into a pot while holding Kh3h and was called by Sandiep Khosa, who limped in from the button for 8k.

"Well, I'm live," he said as he flipped 3-2, one of the absolute worst hands in poker.

The board read QhJh2s3d4d, giving Khosa two pair and booting Ilyukhin from the money. Everyone around the table tensed up — earlier in the tournament, he had snapped at a dealer over a perceived slight (screaming "What is this? I play for three days and you think it's OK to laugh at me? It's so unprofessional!") and ended up having to be talked down by floor staff — but Ilyukhin, resigned to his fate, merely walked away from the table quietly and the crowd let loose a collective sigh.

The eighteen players remaining are lead by Giovanni Safina, continuing his chip domination of the event with 1,271,000 in chips, over 550,000 ahead of his closest competitor, Fabian Quoss (720,000.) The rest of the top five are as follows: Kristoffer Thorsson (685,000); Jake Cody (538,000) and Gareth Teatum (520,000.)

The first in-the-money player who was booted was Karl Limbert, who collected £8,848 for his play. Congratulations to him and good luck to all the other players!
