So, you already know how to play poker and you've got a pretty good handle on all the basic stuff that goes into learning the greatest game on earth, but now what? You need a little bit more, something a little more, shall we say, advanced. Well, today the WSOP Academy announced details for a new poker camp focused exclusively on advanced No Limit Texas Holdem theory and strategy.

Scheduled for April 18-19, 2008, at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, the WSOP Academy’s No Limit Holdem Advanced Academy will cover “next-level” topics such as winning cash game strategy, advanced tournament stage strategy, heads-up strategy, advanced mathematics of poker and a bunch more.

Instructors for the camp include many of the best the poker world has to offer, including Howard Lederer, Annie Duke, Phil Gordon, Paul Wasicka, Andy Bloch, Alex Outhred and acclaimed poker tells expert Joe Navarro, a retired FBI agent and leading authority on non-verbal communications, “If you’ve ever attended a poker camp before or you’re a serious student of the game, now is the time to graduate to the next level,” said Jeff Goldenberg of Post Oak Productions, the company that produces the WSOP Academy.

“With our team of world-class instructors, our No Limit Holdem Advanced Academy is the sure-fire way to elevate your game to new heights.”

Along with learning all the good stuff, campers will get to compete for two $10,000 buy-in seats to the No Limit Holdem World Championship at the 2008 World Series of Poker. The two Main Event seats will be awarded to the winners of private tournaments held at the end of each day of the Academy.

“We’re thrilled to be giving away two seats to the 2008 WSOP Main Event,” said Goldenberg. “Last summer we had one of our participants, Sally Ann Boyer, go from Academy grad one day to world champion the next. That’s the kind of confidence and skills students take away from our Academy, and we expect our seat winners to compete at the absolute highest level at this year’s WSOP.”

The cost of the No Limit Holdem Advanced Academy is $1,999. Space is limited, and the event is expected to sell out well in advance. Additional details for the event and all other Academy events are available at www.WSOPA.com.
