WSOP Day 3 Eliminations

Liv Boeree will be sorely missed from the WSOP tournament floor. (Bodog Beat Image)"]

We didn't see the hand, we only heard the bad news in sad whispers around the WSOP tournament floor. England's beautiful Liv Boeree has been eliminated from the WSOP. We would just like to go on record as saying that whoever knocked her out is an absolute jackass.

More recently though it was poker pro and commentator Phil Gordon who hit the rails.

His last hand came when Gordon bet 40,000 into a 84,000 pot after the flop came   {8-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}. Frederick Hernandez took a few minutes before pushing all-in. Gordon, with only 41,000 left tanked for a few minutes before getting up from the table and sayinng, "Well, I don't have it, but I don't think he has it either." He called and showed: {A-Hearts}{10-Hearts} while Hernandez showed: {4-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}.

Gordon began calling for a ten but was denied when the {6-Spades} came on the turn and the {K-Hearts} hit the river.

Gordon has made four WSOP final tables but is yet to snag himself a bracelet. Looks like unless he heads to the WSOPE he'll have to wait until next year for another shot at a bracelet.

Other notable WSOP eliminations include: Eric Seidel, Scott Clements, Patrik Antonius, Chris Moneymaker, Noah Boeken, Jennifer Harmen and Darrell Dicken.
