WSOP to Offer VIP Lounge for Charitable Players

The WSOP and Harrah's announced today that players who make a $1,000 contribution to the Nevada Cancer Institute will be given access to a special VIP lounge at the Rio for the duration of the 2007 WSOP. The lounge will be open 24/7 and will feature food, beverages, plasma-screen televisions, internet access, and a pool table. The players will also be granted special parking privileges.
“The WSOP is committed to helping the Nevada Cancer Institute continue its important and ground-breaking work,” said Jeffrey Pollack, commissioner of the WSOP. “The new VIP lounge is one way to enlist the support of the poker community. It’s good for our players and good for NVCI.”
NVCI is a non-profit organization committed to providing research-linked cancer care and is one of the premier cancer research and care facilities in the country.
No word on whether or not the lounge will feature the same "eye candy" as the Bodog Girls provided last year but may we be so bold as to suggest the "NCVI Nurses"?
You could be philanthropic and donate $1,000 to this great cause and get access to the VIP lounge but first you need a reason to be at the Rio in Vegas this summer. So go and win a $12,000 WSOP package from Bodog. WSOP satellites are happening daily in the Bodog Poker Room.
