Following the best regular season in franchise history and the best record in the league, the Cleveland Cavaliers open against a Detroit Pistons team that hopes to somehow put an ugly season behind it and make a seventh straight trip to the conference finals.
The Pistons did beat the Cavs 96-89 early in the season after holding LeBron James to 8-of-21 shooting. But then the Cavaliers took the final three meetings, limiting the Pistons to 77 points per game in those victories. Detroit only shot 38 percent in those three losses and they will have a tough time matching up against the intense defense that Cleveland will roll out.
The Pistons will also have a hard time slowing down James, who averaged 25.8 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 6.5 assists against Detroit this year.
The under is 29-6 in the last 35 meetings between these rivals, so expect a low-scoring series. Head to the Bodog Sportsbook for the best in NBA betting.
