Mixed emotions will be on display during Sunday’s Pro Bowl in Honolulu. This is the last scheduled stop for the NFL’s all-star game at Aloha Stadium; players have voiced their displeasure about the league’s decision to play the 2010 game in Miami the week before the Super Bowl. Expect the participants to maximize their vacation time when the AFC meets the NFC.
The Pro Bowl rarely generates any animosity or hard-nosed defense on the field; scores are typically high, with the NFC (+3) winning last year’s game 42-30. The over has the potential to be the value bet as the players ramp up the fun level. The six quarterbacks involved will certainly do their part – the “worst” of the six is Tennessee’s Kerry Collins (80.2 passer rating), who proved more than capable of airing the ball out in previous stops before managing the Titans to a 13-3 record this year.
