When New York’s Chien-Ming Wang faces Boston’s Clay Buchholz tonight, it kicks off the first of 15 encounters between the Yankees and Red Sox this season.
In 2005, one Yankee official was quoted as saying, "As champions you're supposed to act a certain way. But you have to remember, the Red Sox don't have much experience in that department."
Things are changing in the 21st century. The Red Sox are the reigning champs and New York hasn’t won the MLB crown since 2000 and appears to be the team looking for the championship experience.
Both teams currently sit at 5-5 after their first ten games, 1.5 games behind the Baltimore Orioles and .5 games up on the Toronto Blue Jays.
Wang currently touts a 1.38 ERA and a 2-0 record, while Buchholz has an ERA of 5.40 and a record of 0-1.
The moneyline sees the Yankees sitting at -104 and the Red Sox at -106, while the total is at 9.5.
