Betting Odds for UFC 80 Online in Bodog Sportsbook

Odds for "UFC 80: Rapid Fire" are now online in the Bodog Sportsbook.

In the main event, B.J. "The Prodigy" Penn (11-4-1) is the heavy -285 favorite to beat Joe "Daddy" Stevenson (28-7-0) who is at +225. Originally, the fight was slated to determine an interim lightweight champion but, now that Sean Sherk (32-2-1) has been stripped of the UFC lightweight title for steroid use, the match has been upgraded to crown the new 155-pound title holder. The winner will fight Sherk for their first title defense.

Penn isn't the only Hawaiian fighter on the card, as Kendall "Da Spyder" Grove (8-4-0) returns to the octagon to face Jorge "El Conquistador" Rivera (14-6-0). At -500, the 6'6" tall Grove is hugely favored to win. Both fighters are coming off losses, as Grove was TKO'd by Canadian Patrick Cote (11-4-0) in August, while Rivera was knocked out cold by Terry Martin (16-3-0) in February.

Also, heavyweight fighters Gabriel Gonzaga (8-2-0) and Fabricio Werdum (9-3-1) will collide in a battle between jiu-jitsu champions. Both fighters will be looking to get back in the win column, as Werdum has not fought since losing a decision to Andrei Arlovski (11-5-0) in April of '07, while Gonzaga is coming off a TKO loss to Randy Couture (16-8-0) in August. Aside from "The Natural" Werdum is the only other fighter to beat Gonzaga, handing him a loss in 2003. Still, he is the +220 underdog in the Bodog Sportsbook for the re-match, while Gonzaga is at -280.
