Betting Odds For UFC 83: Serra vs St. Pierre 2

Georges St. Pierre is the favorite in UFC 83.

Jason “The Athlete” MacDonald (20-9) is a -165 favorite to beat fellow Canadian Joe “El Dirte” Doerksen (39-10) in their middleweight bout. MacDonald is looking to rebound after losing a decision to Yushin Okami (22-4) at UFC 77: Hostile Territory last October, while “El Dirte” has been KO’d in his last two fights, against Ed “Short Fuse” Herman (15-4) and Paulo Filho (16-0) respectively.
Speaking of Herman, the fiery redhead is +140 underdog against Brazilian Demian Maia (7-0).
Yet another Canadian middleweight, Jason Day (16-5), will be a +300 dog when he steps into the octagon with Alan “The Talent” Belcher (11-3), while Day’s Canuck compatriot Sam Stout (14-3-1) is a slight favorite over veteran fighter Rich “No Love” Clementi (38-12-1).

For the main event, hometown hero Georges "Rush" St. Pierre (15-2) is the -500 favorite to beat current 170-pound champ Matt "The Terror" Serra (9-4) for the UFC welterweight belt.
Serra is a +300 underdog despite knocking out “GSP” last April at UFC 69: Shootout in one of the most shocking upsets in mixed martial arts history.
In other action, former middleweight champ Rich "Ace" Franklin (22-3) is a -350 favorite to beat jiu-jitsu fighter Travis Lutter (9-4).
Other favorites to win at UFC 83 include Nate Quarry (9-2), Ultimate Fighter winner Mac Danzig (17-4-1) and British fan favorite Michael Bisping (14-1).
