Big Ben Is Out Versus The Packers

Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger will not play when the Steelers visit the struggling Green Bay Packers this Sunday.

Team doctors consulted with Big Ben after a MRI was taken on his right knee to view the extent of damage, and they recommended that he have slight arthroscopic surgery on the knee to remove some torn cartilage discovered. Roethlisberger reluctantly listened to the advice, and the procedure was done yesterday.

Backup QB Charlie Batch, who was actually the third string quarterback until QB Tommy Maddox committed four turnovers in Week 6 against Jacksonville, will be behind center for the Steelers.
