Bob \"The Beast\" Sapp Fights \"Giant\" at Strikeforce

Sapp says he will knock out his opponent at Bodog Fight Presents Strikeforce at the Dome in Tacoma, Wash.

At 360 pounds, 6 feet 4 inches tall, it's hard to imagine anyone bigger than Bob "The Beast" Sapp, but matchmakers for Bodog Fight Presents Strikeforce at the Dome found someone even larger for him to fight on Saturday, Feb. 23 in Tacoma, Wash.

Standing 6 feet 11 inches tall, Jan "The Giant" Nortje towers over Sapp by 7 inches. With years of kickboxing experience under his belt, Nortje will undoubtedly try to make the most of his reach advantage in a stand-up brawl. Sapp, of course, has other plans and says he'll take Nortje down to finish him on the ground.

"Jan is a big guy, so one thing that I have to do is get in close so he doesn't throw the big punches," he says. "From there I can look for the ground and pound or maybe a submission."

The heavyweight brawl will mark the first time either fighter has fought inside a cage, although both of them have fought extensively in MMA events that use boxing rings, such as Pride and K-1 in Japan.

"We're going to have almost a thousand pounds of pure beef in there," Sapp says, "so I need to press him against the cage."
