Way to go, Green Bay - you're now officially the epicenter of drama.
In the latest chapter of the Packers-Brett Favre saga, good ol' No. 4 has come out of retirement by faxing his reinstatement letter to the NFL today, according to ESPN's Chris Mortensen.
As you might've heard, Packers GM Ted Thompson has been trying to keep Favre out of Packers camp while he figures out his next move. Favre corroborated this claim.
"I asked Ted , 'Am I welcome in the building if I report?' And Ted was just about shattered," Favre said. "He said, 'Brett, you can't do that -- you'll get me fired.' I told him I'm not trying to get anybody fired. So Ted asked me to let the guys report and let's try to resolve this over the next two or three days."
It appears now that the only way to resolve this situation is through a trade. Green Bay won't give Favre up for nothing (meaning: he won't be released) so potential suitors are lined up ready to bring in the future Hall-of-Fame QB.
