It took right up until the 3 p.m. EST deadline, but it appears one final mega-deal has gone through.
Early reports from basketball rumors website Hoopsworld claim that ESPN is about to report a 10-player deal involving the Chicago Bulls, Cleveland Cavaliers and Seattle Sonics. And if the deal stands true, Cleveland just beefed up huge for a postseason run.
It is understood that Cleveland will get Ben Wallace and Joe Smith from Chicago, along with guards Delonte West and Wally Szczerbiak from Seattle. The Bulls would recieve Larry Hughes, Cedric Simmons and Drew Gooden from Cleveland while the Sonics would get Chris Duhon from Chicago and Ira Newble and Donyell Marshall from Cleveland.
The trade has not been made official yet, but sources close to the situation believe it's close to being done. Reports are that the teams all filed the required paperwork just prior to the 3pm deadline, and are now ironing out details before going public.
