It took two days for a result but the Auto Club 500 finally has a winner - Carl Edwards.
Edwards survived the rain delays and won the 500 by moving ahead of Jimmie Johnson with just 13 laps remaining.
"Well, it looked like Jimmie was the guy to beat at the end," Edwards said. "It was fun racing with him. I want to thank Bob and all my teammates for working so hard this winter."
Edwards was 6-1 to win the race, beating Mark Kenseth, who had 7-1 odds and won the race in 2006 and 2007.
"Carl Edwards was in another league. We've got some work to do to catch those guys," said Jeff Gordon who finished third.
The race was delayed throughout Sunday with rain and had to be postponed until Monday.
