Chuck Liddell vs. \"Shogun\" Rua, June 14 in London

Former UFC light heavyweight champion Chuck "The Iceman" Liddell (21-5-0) has signed his next fight.

Saturday, June 14, in London, England, Liddell will face Mauricio "Shogun" Rua (16-3-0), a fighter once ranked as the top light-heavyweight in the world.

"I think it’s going to be a great fight," Liddell tells The Fight Network. "I think he’s going to strike, he’s going to wrestle a little bit and he’s going to mix it up. It should be fun, and it should make for an interesting fight."

Liddell is coming off a unanimous decision win over Rua's former team mate, Wanderlei Silva (31-8-1) at UFC 79: Nemesis on Dec. 29. In his first UFC fight in September, "Shogun" suffered a loss by choke to Forrest Griffin (15-4-0).

Rua owns a pair of first-round wins over current UFC champion Quinton "Rampage" Jackson (29-6-0), the only fighter to defeat Liddell twice, but Liddell's coach John Hackleman doesn't think that will matter when Rua and Liddell meet each other in London.

"I don’t really think that plays a factor in MMA," he says, "because there’s so many factors in the sport. This guy beating this guy doesn’t mean that guy can beat this guy, so I don’t think ”˜Shogun’ beating ”˜Rampage’ has anything to do with anything."

UFC 85 will be the first fight in the U.K. for "The Iceman".
