Cliff Lee Dominant In Shutout Victory

In baseball action, Indians pitcher Cliff Lee was back to his usual ways Sunday night in a 4-0 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays.

Lee lasted eight innings in the scoreless victory and gave up just eight hits on the game. It was his league-leading 16th win of the season.

In Baltimore the Texas Rangers benefitted from an offensive explosion that propelled them by the Orioles to the tune of 15-7.

Josh Hamilton drove in a three-run shot in the first inning, which, combined with a five-hit afternoon from second basemen Ian Kinsler, was enough to set the tone.

The Milwaukee Brewers reaped the benefits of inserting Gabe Kapler into the lineup in place of an injured Ryan Braun as his 13th-inning homerun gave his squad the 5-4 victory over the Washington Nationals.
