College Basketball Betting: Texas Tech at Texas

Playing their first game since falling from the top of the rankings, the Texas Longhorns go for their 14th consecutive home victory over the Texas Tech Red Raiders in a Big 12 matchup tonight.

College hoops betting odds have the Longhorns pegged as 17.5-point home favorites.

After being held to nine points against Kansas State, Damion James had 23 against Connecticut, giving him a 20.2-point average over the past six games. James paces Texas with 17.6 points per game and averages a conference-leading 10.8 rebounds.

However, the Longhorns have been struggling offensively, totalling 37 turnovers in the two losses.

The Longhorns will face a Texas Tech team which has lost four straight on the road. Texas has won 13 in a row at home over the Red Raiders since 1996, and is 25-4 overall in the series since the Red Raiders joined the Big 12 in 1996-97.
