College Basketball Odds: No. 10 Kansas State at Missouri

UPDATE: The Missouri Tigers beat the Kansas State Wildcats 74-68 Saturday at Mizzou Arena.

Probably no current Top 10 team has flown more under the radar this season than No. 10 Kansas State, a program that was supposed to go back to mediocrity once both Bob Huggins and Michael Beasley left town the past few seasons. But the Wildcats, who have won 10 in a row, will get their biggest test of the season Saturday afternoon at Missouri, which has opened as the slight favorite on Bodog’s college basketball odds.

K-State (13-1, 7-2 ATS) has some very quality wins this season, including Washington State, Xavier, UNLV and Dayton (the lone loss to Ole Miss). But Big 12 play is entirely something different. Last year, KSU started the season 10-3 and then began 0-4 in conference play.

Missouri (12-3, 5-4 ATS), which has won seven games in a row, was thought to be rebuilding this season and was picked to finish seventh in the Big 12 off last year’s Elite Eight run. The Tigers are nearly unbeatable at home, going 10-0 this season (4-2 ATS) to increase their home win streak to 29 in a row (No. 2 in the nation) at Mizzou Arena.

The key Saturday will be KSU’s two stellar guards, Jacob Pullen and Denis Clemente, who combine for nearly 40 percent of the Wildcats’ points. Missouri uses full-court pressure the entire game and rotates players in an out to keep them fresh. Kansas State has little to no depth, especially behind Pullen and Clemente. Whichever team turns the ball over less will win – Mizzou is forcing 22.1 of them per game, leading to nearly 29 points per game. KSU is forcing nearly 18 turnovers, which lead to more than 22 ppg.

When making your college basketball bet at Bodog, know that Missouri is 4-2 the past two years at home against Top 25 teams and has won 23 of the last 25 in Columbia vs. the Wildcats.
