No. 12 Michigan State hasn’t played its best basketball down the stretch, so the Spartans would like to close out the regular season with some momentum - starting Thursday with Penn State.
The Spartans (22-7 overall, 11-17 on college basketball odds) are coming off a 53-44 win over Purdue. It was their third win in four games, but they’re 3-4 in their past seven.
Raymar Morgan carried the load for MSU against the Boilermakers, racking up a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds.
Penn State has also strung together three wins in four games. In its last outing, Penn State (12-13-1 ATS this season) beat down Northwestern 79-60. Talor Battle was active all over the stat sheet, scoring 16 points, six rebounds, six assists plus a block and steal.
Michigan State toppled the Nittany Lions 65-54 when they met in mid-February. MSU guard Kalin Lucas—who has struggled over the past two games—racked up 24 points in the win. Battle unloaded 30 points in the loss.
