College football betting fans, it is time to take notice of the Virginia Tech Hokies.

The Hokies look for their ninth consecutive victory over the Duke Blue Devils on Saturday when the teams meet at Wallace Wade Stadium.

College football betting lines have the Hokies listed as 17-point road favorites.

Hokies opponents rushed for an average of 200.3 yards in the first three games, but Virginia Tech held Miami to 59 yards on 34 carries.

Duke freshman running back Desmond Scott will present Tech’s defense with a new challenge. Scott rushed 16 times for 100 yards and a touchdown in his college debut en route to a 49-14 win over North Carolina Central last week.

The Blue Devils have been outscored 101-7 in their last two home games against Top 10 teams. Duke dropped the last meeting with the Hokies 14-3 at Durham on Nov. 22, 2008, and hasn’t beaten them since 1981.
