College Football Odds: No. 2 Alabama at Tennessee

The Tide have dropped the cash in two straight games, barely beating Kentucky (+15.5) and Ole Miss (+12.5) at home. Now Alabama hits the road as 5-point favorites to face the Tennessee Volunteers (3-4 SU and ATS).

Tennessee has been a mess on offense this season, scoring just 19.7 points per game – that’s No. 95 in the FBS. The under is on a six-game streak for the Vols, who happen to play pretty good defense; they picked off Tyson Lee three times in last week’s 34-3 shellacking of Mississippi State.

Alabama will have to play without 365-pound nose tackle Terrence Cody (sprained MCL) for the next two weeks and possibly longer. Sophomore Josh Chapman is a capable fill-in, but still easier to move at 305 pounds. That might finally be the tipping point for Alabama.
