College Football Odds: North Texas at Ball State

This will be the first meeting ever between the North Texas Mean Green and the Ball State Cardinals.

After going 12-2 in 2008, Ball State hopes to recreate its success last season with a new quarterback and coach. North Texas, 3-21 the past two seasons, seeks a turnaround in coach Todd Dodge's third year. Dodge has inserted his son, Riley, at quarterback.

Look for the Eagles to pressure Dodge into rookie mistakes and take pressure off their inexperienced secondary.

The Eagles come into this one listed as 16-point home favorites.

QB Kelly Page just needs to manage the game for Ball State, not feel the need to win it.

The Mean Green will need a lot from their offense since they have been ranked last nationally in scoring defense the past two seasons.

The forecast calls for a high of 80 degrees in Muncie, IN.
