College Football Odds: Troy at Bowling Green

The Troy Trojans are everybody’s pick to win the Sun Belt Conference.

However, Troy’s season opener against non-conference foe Bowling Green tonight is a statement game of sorts.

Beating MAC opponents is something the Sun Belt prides itself on as it tries to gain more respect nationally.

Troy certainly has that opportunity in their opener. More importantly, it needs to prove it can win in a hostile environment before playing a huge early league game at Arkansas State Sept. 26.

The Trojans are a 7-point favorite to win this week, but it will be their first visit to Bowling Green. Troy’s defense should present some problems for Bowling Green, as well as its talented offense.

Watch out for Falcons QB Tyler Sheehan. As he goes, so go the Falcons this season.

The Trojans are 13-5 ATS in their last 18 road games, while the Falcons are 2-14 ATS in their last 16 home games.
