College Football Pac-10 Preview

Just like every season, the USC Trojans are the heavy favorites (-325) to snag an eighth consecutive league title. Just like every season, they will have close calls - but the program always seems to find a way to finish on top.

That doesn't mean the rest of the Pac-10 will just lay down. The California Golden Bears (+300) and Oregon Ducks (+300) enter the season as the two primary challengers.

Battling to join Cal and Oregon are five programs with varying qualifications. You can never underestimate the Oregon State Beavers (+800). No one gets more from less than Mike Riley, and the Rodgers brothers, Jacquizz and James, can completely take over.

The Arizona Wildcats (+3000) will build to another level with a balanced offense and speedy defense. UCLA (+1000) will be much more competitive. Stanford (+3000) is a rising star in the Pac-10. That leaves Arizona State (+1800), Washington (+5000), and Washington State (+7500) to fight for the basement.
