College Football Picks: Fresno State at San Jose State

However, the Spartans still have two reasons to get fired up for this week’s season finale: They can all but clinch a bowl berth with an upset win, which would come at the expense of the Fresno State Bulldogs.

Both teams have six wins. For Fresno State, this is likely the last chance to get to seven. For San Jose State, it is definitely the last chance. Seven is a critical number because the bowl system is likely to accommodate every seven-win team this year.

San Jose enters this contest as 3.5-point underdogs and are 0-4 ATS in their last four games overall.
Fresno State could again be without top running backs Ryan Mathews and Lonyae Miller, putting pressure on quarterback Tom Brandstater to guide the offense and not turn the ball over.
