Come Again? MLB Likely To Implement Instant Replay This Season

Though it's not official yet, Major League Baseball looks awfully close to implementing the use of instant replay for the appropriate settlement of questionable home run calls.
It didn't take much more than the butchered calls against the New York Yankee's Alex Rodriguez or the New York Mets' Carlos Delgado this year to tip the scale in the ongoing debate.
The expected date for the rule change comes earlier than expected; August 1 of this season, though August 15 has been suggested as well, just in time for the playoffs.
Before anything can be made official, an agreement must be reached between MLB and the umpires' union but talks have already begun.
Details of the replay procedure have yet to be worked out, but it is expected that the review of the tapes would be conducted in an off-site "war room" and then communicated with the chief umpire on-site.
With all of this objectivity coming to the game of baseball, you might as well try your luck with MLB odds before it's too late.
