Dancing The Night Away
ABC's "Dancing With The Stars" has become the surprise #1 hit of the summer, CNN.com reports.
Live performances, according to show producer Conrad Green, are the driving force behind the impressive ratings for the ballroom broadcasts.
"There's not really anywhere to hide. If they fall ... they fall ... it definitely ups the stakes," Green says. "If you know you can't retake something ... it really keeps everyone on their toes."
Three celebrity contestants remain in the competition: Kelly Monaco (General Hospital), Jonn O'Hurley (Seinfeld) and Joey McIntyre (New Kids On The Block).
