Done Deal: Shaquille O'Neal Traded to Phoenix

The physicals have been completed and the paperwork signed, Heat center Shaquille O'Neal has been traded to the Phoenix Suns for Shawn Marion and Marcus Banks.

O'Neal will bring his 7-foot-1-inch frame to a team desperate for a low-post presence while the Heat get a healthy NBA all-star to run and gun with Dwyane Wade.

"We're thrilled to add a player and person of Shaquille's quality to our roster," general manager Steve Kerr said in a statement. "We believe this addition strengthens our team. We thank Shawn and Marcus for their contributions to our team. Shawn in particular has been a tremendous player for this organization the past eight-and-a-half years and his impact both on and off the court in Phoenix will not be forgotten."
