Finally, something positive out of the Knicks' season.
Today the New York Knicks made the necessary move and hired Donnie Walsh to takeover Isiah Thomas' job as team president ESPN.com said Wednesday.
When asked about what he would do with Thomas, who is still the team's head coach Walsh said "I need to sit down with Isiah and have a meaningful basketball conversation."
Knicks owner James Dolan is happy to have a prez on board that won't spend his first-round draft picks on washed up point guards.
"His mandate is clear -- do whatever is necessary to turn this team around," Dolan said.
The Knicks have been a disaster under Thomas all year, posting a brutal 20-54 record.
