After nearly two weeks, the March Madness field of 64 has been cut to eight, and with the exception of tenth-seeded Davidson, the schools left standing are not all that surprising.

On Saturday evening, two first-seeded programs will look to continue their quest to the Final Four but will each face respectable competition.

The first match up, scheduled for 6:40 p.m. EST, will feature Kevin Love and his UCLA Bruins up against an Xavier club that not many would have expected in this place one year ago.

For the first time this tournament, the number one-ranked Bruins will be tested against one of the West division's elite.

Xavier, still fresh off a nail-biting overtime victory over West Virginia enters the game as the 6.5-point underdogs.

The second game pits first-seeded North Carolina up against third-seeded Louisville.

The UNC Tar Heels hope to ride junior Tyler Hansbrough to victory once again and the Bodog Sportsbook has them considered 6.5-point favorites against the opposing Cardinals.

The Cardinals, who have already knocked off Tennessee and Oklahoma, have their work cut out for them against Roy Williams' program. The Tar Heels have advanced to the Final Four seven times in the past two decades.
