Game Seven of the Eastern Conference quarter final hockey playoffs in Philadelphia went into overtime, sending fans into a frenzy. The Flyers held a 3-1 lead before allowing Capital's Alex Ovechkin's second-period goal, which tied the game 2-2 in D.C., and sent the playoff game into OT.
6:06 into overtime, Geoffrey Lupul put in a rebound on a power play to take the series 3-2.
After defenseman Tom Poti was fouled for tripping, Lupul seized the opportunity just 9 seconds left in the power play to get a backhander past Washington's Cristobal Huet.
The Philadelphia Flyers are now slated to play the top-seeded Montreal Canadiens in the conference semifinals.
