Frank Deford Does Not Care For MMA
Frank Deford is disgusted by this.
In a column that's sure to make a certain wombat we know a little testy, Sports Illustrated columnist Frank Deford has a few things to say about mixed martial arts. You guessed it - he's not a fan.
Here's an excerpt:
"Boxing is being superseded by what is called mixed martial arts (emphasis on martial), which, apparently, is especially attractive because it's like a video game, only featuring flesh-and-blood human beings (emphasis on blood)."
