While NCAA wrestling champion and WWE superstar Brock Lesnar (1-0-0) prepares for his UFC debut with Bodog Fight champion Nick "The Goat" Thompson (33-9-1) and former UFC lightweight champion Sean Sherk (32-2-1)in Minnesota, his opponent Frank Mir (10-3-0) is training at Striking Unlimited, the gym where the former UFC heavyweight champ teaches Brazilian jiu jitsu.

In a video conversation with rawvegas.tv, Mir talks about his choice to train at his own club instead of at Xtreme Couture, the gym of choice for most combat athletes in Las Vegas.

"My trainer Ken Hahn is here," he explains. "Right now, Randy Couture does have a lot more training partners and fighters, but in terms of my personal gain, my technique and my stand-up and my overall MMA game, I thought it was more beneficial for me to train here."

And what does Mir think about his opponent?

"He's a big, strong athlete," he says. "I think he's still new to the MMA game, so that's to my advantage. Putting together strikes and submissions and stand-up all into one package is something I've been working on for quite a while now and he's new to that, but he's going to be a pain for anyone to fight because he's so big and strong. He can grind out a win by pinning you down, or slamming you against the cage, and I'm sure he's heavy handed. His arms are bigger around than my legs so I'm sure once he gets down on the ground and starts throwing hammer-fists and elbows, he can be a very menacing opponent."

Mir has also been watching videos of Lesnar on youtube.com. "I can see certain things, certain footwork maneuvers that I know will be his natural tendencies because, as an athlete, once you get to a certain age there's just certain things you're going to do, a certain way you step."

As a -155 favorite in the Bodog Sportsbook, Lesnar is currently the pick to win the fight, while Mir trails at +125.
