Anyone golf bettors who put money on Tiger Woods winning the sport’s Grand Slam this year have to like their chances of cashing out.
The world’s most recognizable athlete is a perfect 5-0 since September and his latest win came thanks to a record-breaking performance Sunday afternoon. He won the Accenture Match Play Championship by defeating Stewart Cink at the Gallery of Dove Mountain in Marana, Ariz.
Woods made 14 birdies in 29 holes to win 8-and-7. The final was scheduled to go 36 holes but Woods won with seven tees to spare, marking the largest margin of victory in the final of the tournament, which is a decade old.
The title is Tiger’s 15th World Golf Championship and he holds all three world titles for the first time.
"I think this is the best stretch I've ever played," Woods said afterwards.
Woods’ PGA golf odds are 6/5 to win the Masters in April.
