Add the 17th hole at the Gallery of Dove Mountain to the litany of legendary moments for Tiger Woods.

The world’s best golfer secured a semifinal victory in the Accenture Match Play Championship on Saturday when he dropped a 12-foot birdie putt on the 17th hole. That shot gave him the lead against defending champion Henrik Stenson and Woods held on for a 2-up win in Marana, Ariz.

Woods, who beat K.J. Choi in the morning quarterfinals, has PGA odds of 6/5 to capture the tournament. To do so he’ll face Stewart Cink, a 10/1 long shot, in Sunday’s final.

On Thursday, Woods rolled in a 35-foot putt for eagle on the 17th hole to stay in contention then got lucky on the same green in Friday’s electrifying match when opponent Aaron Baddeley lipped out a potential match-winning putt.

Cink advanced to the 36-hole final by defeating Justin Leonard in the semifinals. Cink has never reached the finals of the tournament while Woods is aiming for his third title in five years in the Match Play Championship.
