Hansbrough, Love, Beasley, Augustin & Curry Named Wooden Finalists

And then, there were five.
The quintet of finalists for the John Wooden Award were announced today, and there was little surprise at who got the nod.
The award, presented annually to the most oustanding college basketball player in the nation, will be handed to one of five players:
- Kevin Love, UCLA
- Tyler Hansbrough, UNC
- Michael Beasley, Kansas State
- Stephen Curry, Davidson
- DJ Augustin, Texas
The inclusion of Love and Beasley means that the award could to to a freshman for a second-straight season. Last year, Kevin Durant became the first frosh to win the award since it's was first handed out in 1977.
