From Amazon.com:

"...despite the acclaim he won as a football legend, track star, Olympic competitor, and later a successful businessman, Herschel realized that his life, at times, was simply out of control. He often felt angry, self-destructive, and unable to connect meaningfully with friends and family. Drawing on his deep faith, Herschel turned to professionals for help and was ultimately diagnosed with dissociative identity disorder, formerly known as multiple personality disorder."

The above is describing Herschel Walker's new book, Breaking Free. In it, the former star running back admits he nearly killed himself and others as a result of his Dissociative Identity Disorder. A few of the shocking stories include Walker playing Russian roulette at the kitchen table as well as putting a gun to his wife's temple.

"My goal is to help bring freedom to the lives of those who have and understanding to those who have never experienced it," Walker said in a Nightline interview that will air Monday on ABC.
