The Houston Rockets made it 19 straight on Monday night, and they did it easily. The hottest team in the NBA embarrassed the New Jersey Nets 91-73 after taking a 46-29 lead into the second half.

Tracy McGrady scored 19 points in just 29 minutes of work while Chuck Hayes pulled down 10 rebounds.

The 11-point underdog Nets shot a pathetic 30.4 percent from the field, which overshadowed another poor shooting statistic: the Rockets sunk just 13 of their 26 free throw attempts. Good thing Houston nailed 10 of 20 from 3-point range.

Not only was it the Rockets' 19th consecutive victory, it was their 10th straight by double digits.

The last team to win 19 straight was the Los Angeles Lakers, who did the deed in 1999-2000 before winning their first of three NBA titles.

How have the Rockets done it?
