How to Make Money Betting on MLB Player Props

We’ve discussed the value of playing the MLB team props – now it’s time to forget the name on the front of the uniform and handicap the name on the back. Baseball more than any other “team” sport is really about the individual. Can he pitch? Can he swing a bat, and does he flash a decent glove?
The betting public is often out to lunch when it comes to evaluating individual players. Veterans who are past their prime are treated as if they’re the same players they were 10 years ago. Highly productive rookies are generally undervalued in the marketplace, as are players with poor English skills, or who play for “small market” teams. Supporting someone like Giants 3B Pablo Sandoval (.954 OPS) is an excellent way to get value from the player props; you might be the only person in your office who even knows that Sandoval exists.
