On Wednesday, Jan. 23 in Las Vegas, Nev., welterweight Josh Burkman (9-4-0) will fight San Jose's Mike "Quick" Swick (10-2-0) as the octagon hosts another Ultimate Fight Night.

Although he is a +135 underdog in the Bodog Sportsbook, Burkman says he's ready to beat Swick, the -175 favorite and take one more step up the ladder of talent in UFC's stacked 170-pound division.

"At the end of the day I’ve just got to go in there and throw down with Mike Swick," he tells MMAweekly.com. "It doesn’t matter how many cameras, how many interviews, how many people are watching. At the end of the day it’s going to be me and Mike in there for 15 minutes.”

"My goal is to make winning look easy," he says. "That’s all I’m going to try to do."

Of course, winning might not be easy , especially considering that Swick is dropping to welterweight after going 5-1 as a middleweight. Still, Burkman says he knows what he's up against, and feels ready for the challenge.

"I’ve got a lot of respect for Mike," he explains, "and I’ve had one of the best training camps that I’ve had since I’ve been in the UFC, so I’m really excited about this fight.”
